Beaver Landscape Concepts was one of seven landscapers that we quoted to do our large property in Beaverton when we moved there in 2016. The job was enormous. The property has a large downhill grade and in order for it to be usable and aesthetically pleasing, we knew we had to do terracing and a lot of steps. We selected Beaver Landscape Concepts because when Marcelo came out to quote, he walked the property, asked us what we wanted, and listened to what we described. We had a vision of what we wanted the gardens to look like (inspired by the Japanese Tea Garden in Portland), and our property was a big blank canvas. Some of the other bidders didn’t understand the project because their quotes were obviously too low. Some saw a “blank check” and scared us with “their” vision. Marcelo saw our vision and quoted accordingly. He and his crew worked with us every step of the way. He brought in loaders, back hoes, shovels, and crew members who sweated through an abysmally hot summer to grade, move earth, place boulders on the berm, create mounds for special feature trees, lay a gorgeous and huge paver patio, walkways, and driveway, and lay irrigation lines front to back. And, the winding paver and cinderblock staircase tying the patio to the upper walkway is nothing short of a miracle. My husband and I are not youngsters anymore and we wanted steps with a short rise. We were not disappointed. If I had to do the entire project over again, I would choose Marcelo and know that I couldn’t possibly be happier or more satisfied with the results. He’s an artist and a dedicated craftsman. Plus, he treats his clients as he would his own family. Marcelo is our Beaver Landscape Concepts hero! 🙂
